Event Description
Join the City of Davenport and Partners of Scott County Watersheds for a honeysuckle removal day in N. Marquette Park! Honeysuckle is an invasive species that can quickly out-compete native plants and harm the ecosystem and watershed. We will be cutting the vine out with loppers and applying an herbicide treatment. There will also be an opportunity to plant some native woodland species!
Volunteers of all ages are welcome to join! Long pants, sturdy shoes, and clothes that can get dirty are recommended. All tools will be supplied.
