Event Description
Join the City of Davenport and Partners of Scott County Watersheds in improving the natural habitat adjacent to Duck Creek!
Garlic mustard is an invasive species that can quickly overrun a woodland area, deteriorating the health of the ecosystem and subsequently, the watershed. Volunteers of all ages are needed to help remove the garlic mustard by hand pulling and digging the plants out; volunteers may also help remove honeysuckle. There will also be an opportunity to plant some native woodland species! No prior experience is necessary!
Gloves and trowels will be provided, but feel free to bring your own. Long pants, sturdy shoes, and clothes that can get dirty are recommended.
